Improve your wellbeing with Poole BID
Poole Business Improvement District (BID) is hosting its first Wellness Day in the town centre on Saturday, June 1, from 10am until 4pm.
The event takes place 1/2 way down Poole High Street.
The event will see information provided from a range of businesses: Lush, Everyone Active, MDG Sports, Slimming World and Nuffield Health, Discount Health Store, Barbara Cox, Livewell Dorset, Life Balance Chiropractic, Unit 95, Slimming World, Wheels Of Freedom, Work Well Hub, Powerhouse, BCP, Alexa Warner, Yoga Centre, Parice, Melodies in Motion, Maria Vine, Beryl Bikes…
Justin Hundley-Appleton, Poole BID manager, commented: “With health and wellbeing high on everyone’s agendas at the moment, it’s important to take a moment to think about the improvements that could be made at home or at work.”
In a business context, happy employees are more productive and efficient ambassadors for your business, and less likely to take a sick day. Fitness initiatives are often seen as standard across medium and large businesses, such as eye tests for those who use computers, or providing life insurance, but these benefits have become more diverse, and more accessible to small businesses.
Justin added: “Wellbeing can be anything from making and providing healthy food choices, to social aspects and getting outdoors. Many businesses are reviewing how their teams can bond better, and if that’s over a beer and pizza in the office on a Friday that’s not a bad thing, it just needs to be met with healthy alternatives and providing something for everyone.”
