Poole’s Business Improvement District (BID) has recently appointed a new Chairman and announced additions to its internal management and communications team.
John Grinnell, centre manager at Dolphin Shopping Centre, is the BID’s new chairman and will lead the organisation through to its re-ballot with the levy payers in 2021.
On his appointment, John commented: “I am incredibly passionate about the future of Poole’s town centre, there’s so much potential to be explored. We have such a great mix of independent retailers and national brands, alongside an array of restaurants and business services, there’s certainly a bit of something for everyone.”
“We’ve had some great successes so far, from Light Up Poole and the Circus Spectacular through to supporting BCP Council on the Future High Streets Fund to turbo charge the town centre.
“The coming years are full of exciting opportunities, not least the upcoming 2nd annual Zombiefest on 26th October, and the whole BID team are keen to get stuck into achieving great changes for the high street.
The BID’s internal team has also been bolstered, with Ailsa Wilson promoted to the role of BID Manager, and Angela Morrow joins the team as Business Engagement and Communications Manager.
With strong backgrounds in project management, marketing and communications, Ailsa and Angela will work with the levy payers on a day to day basis, implementing the business plan and helping to make the town centre the best it can be. The BID team can be found at 175B High Street, Poole, BH15 1AZ and the office is open to visitors between 9am and 5pm.
